Showcase contests are simple to enter, all anyone needs is at least 5 moments displayed on their showcase following the particular theme of the Showcase Contest they’re entering. From there, anyone who gets a base number of likes and shares the contest to a social platform will get Dapper credits automatically. Those with the most likes will win other rewards on top of the Dapper credits.
Hardcourt
Gaming is a large culture and community, which Top Shot is taking head-on with Hardcourt. Roham Gharegozlou, Dapper Labs CEO, described Hardcourt as a “high graphical experience” due to user research showing that’s what mainstream fans want. Hardcourt is a 3D game where you control the players on a court and have the opportunity to use the Top Shot Moments you own to upgrade the ability of the players. The ability to take one athlete’s abilities and place them into another will definitely allow some fans to have their fantasy dream players become virtual realities.
NBA Game Perks
One way Dapper Labs may try to keep NBA Top Shot fresh is by having Moment owners receive perks at actual NBA games. This is unconfirmed but, Derek Edward Schloss an investor managing FlamingoDAO’s investment on the Top Shot platform sees this as something that could come into play. Having real perks at NBA games could definitely send Top Shot new clientele and put them even higher on the NFT map.
NBA Top Shot is putting in efforts to make its platform as beneficial and innovative as possible for its collectors. The craze for NFTs could dwindle at any moment, which is why Top Shot has to continue to build upon its platform from contests, to gaming, and possibly even NBA game perks.
